An Atmosphere of Trust

QuoteDr. Kiesel (State of California license PSY12664), a psychologist with a specialty in clinical practice, maintains a private practice in Beverly Hills. She treats people with many different issues including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, eating disorders, adult survivors of sexual and physical abuse, young adults in transition, ADD, PTSD, DID, and more. She enjoys working with both individuals and couples.

Dr. Kiesel works in an interactive and collaborative way that emphasizes your gaining insight, self-awareness and strength. Therapy is done in a supportive atmosphere allowing you to review patterns and behaviors that may be holding you back from achieving the goals you would like to achieve.

As you work together, your feedback is important to Dr. Kiesel as it enables her to help you in the most effective way possible. Once you begin to be aware of and accept the issues that have been keeping you at an impasse, you are able to make better choices for yourself resulting in your own empowerment. Therapeutic work is done collaboratively in an atmosphere of trust and at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Dr. Kiesel was trained in many modalities and utilizes them to keep her work current and most effective. Some of these modalities include psychoanalytic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness meditation and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These different modalities allow her the flexibility to work with whatever issues are presented in an active and comprehensive way.

Learning is the result of listening, which in turn leads to even better listening and attentiveness to the other person. In other words, to learn...we must have empathy, and empathy grows as we learn.-Alice Miller.
